As a freelancer I wanted to build a tool to easily track my work hours so that I can charge the client appropriately. The spreadsheets.google.com looks like the most straightforward tool to achieve such a goal. It is possible to fill in formulas using rich built-in functions, create graphs with a few clicks and further to add custom actions and functions using the Apps Script that is based on JavaScript. Take a look at the demo and don’t forget to explore the ‘graphs’ tab.

Few years ago I had an urge to watch all the videos with higher speed to save the time. However not all the web players do have controls to speed up or slow down the video. No need to worry, there is a remedy! The simplest solution I found was usage of bookmarklets: bookmark in your browser that has the URL filled with a piece of javascript code. With the right code you can manipulate the <video>s present in the web page.

Aneb pár poznámek ke knize Utrpení z nesmyslnosti života Viktora Frankla.

Každá doba má svoji neurózu. V době Sigmunda Freuda to byla především frustrace sexuální, v době Alfreda Adlera zase člověk trpěl pocitem méněcennosti. Dnes je to především existenciální vakuum, pocit prázdnoty, pocit neexistence smyslu a z nich pramenící úzkosti. [1]

The wish to operate my own blog gradually rose over time. I own a domain that I bougth from the webhosting company wedos.cz. Their domains come with the Miniweb service which allows the files to be served statically only. The service is managed through the web UI and nothing like FTP is present. Further, unlike other file types, the .html files cannot have subdirs in the URLs leading to them. Efficient operation of a blog with such limitations is a challenge to be resolved!
